Amandari "Peaceful Spirits" is situated just outside Bali's Cultural capital, Ubud. Perched on a escarpment high above the winding Ayung river gorge in the village of Kedewatan, Balinese believe that the path leading through Amandari and the sorrounding rice terrace is sacred ground.
Amandari has been styled as a Balinese village, with river-stone walkways, shrines, gardens and high paras-stone walls. Balinese-style gateways front each suite.

Amandari's Open Air Lobby was designed after a wantilan or village meeting place, with coconut wood posts and a floor of cool Javanese marble alternating with local volcaninc stone.Teak and coconut are used throughtout the resort's 30 free standing suites and Amandari Villas.

Accommodation is divided into village and valley suites. Eleven suites, come with private pools, including the Amandari Suites, available with one or two independent bedrooms. All suites enjoy a large sunken marble bath in an outdoor garden setting. The bedroom of a two-level suite has a four-poster bed and large living room.

Amandari's Swimming Pool is lined with emerald-green tiles. The curving sweep of lightly salted water mimics the rice terraces that tumbl below. Each evening, gamelan players perform from the music pavilion behind the pool. The open-air Bar overlooks th pool.

From facial and manicures to creambath (mandi lulur) and massage, the health and fitness centre offers a wide range of Balinese beauty and massage services. Two open-air massage bales complement the centre
